Man who flew from Ghana arrested with heroin in US

A man who flew to the US from Ghana has been arrested after heroin was found in his stomach, the AP has reported.

According to the report, authorities say the man, 61-year-old Adekunle Titus Adetokunbo flew to Washington Dulles International Airport from Ghana on Thursday and almost a pound of heroin was found in his stomach.

Citing documents filed in US District Court in Alexandria, the report said Adetokunbo told  customs officials in a “rambling” manner that he intended to buy computers, clothing and vehicles.

According to the report when he was being patted by customs officials and his stomach was touched, he flinched. He was taken to hospital where an X-ray was taken and foreign items were revealed in his stomach, the report said.
