KP Boateng told me he will return to Black Stars – Langabel

Ghana’s soccer chief drummer Joseph Langabel claims AC Milan’s Kelvin Prince Boateng has told him that he will return to the national soccer team the Black Stars.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) said November 4, 2011 it has received a letter from AC Milan player, Kevin Prince Boateng, on his decision to resign from the senior national team, the Black Stars.

But Langabel, who gives motivation to  the Black Stars team by playing the drum and singing at every tournament, said the midfielder will rescind his decision and return to international football even if Ghana’s current coach Goran Stevanovic remains at his post or he does not.

“Kelvin told me he will return; he will return to the Black Stars,”  Langabel, revealed in an interview January 6, 2012 on Joy FM’s programme on the CAN 2012 monitored by ghanabusinessnews.com.

KP Boateng cited physical demands of playing for both club and country at high levels which has taking a toll on his health as a major reason for his decison to resign from international football.

“The player also explained that in order to remain healthy and stay off any injuries, he has consulted his doctors and family over the matter and has decided to take the decision to excuse himself from national duties since he is on a special training that he has to interrupt to honour national invitations,” the Ghana FA said on it’s website.
