Paralympic gold medallist Ajara Mohammed slated for Ghana’s 2011 Sports Personality Award

Ajara Mohammed won two paralympic gold medals at the 10th All Africa Games in Maputo.

Gold medallist Ajara Mohammed has been nominated for the 2011 Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Personality of the Year.

Ajara Mohammed became the first Ghanaian athlete to grab a gold medal for Ghana in the paralympic event at the 10th All Africa Games held in Maputo September 2011. She won two gold medals at the event.

She however faces competition from Ghanaian and Olympique Marseille’s midfielder Andre Ayew who was recently crowned 2011 BBC African Footballer of the Year and CAF Champions League winner Harrison Afful.
