President Mills visits US again to woo investors

President John Evans Atta Mills has left the country for the United States on a nine-day official visit.

Mr. Koku Anyidoho, Director of communications at the presidency, briefing journalists at the KIA last night, said President Mills will meet with some investors as a run-up to his recent visit to the New York Stock Exchange.

He said a number of investors in the US had lined up to meet with President Mills after visiting the New York Exchange but he had to come home.

“The President will use this opportunity especially in this festive season and to sort out some things to wrap up the action year” he said.

He was seen off by Mr. John Henry Martey Newman, chief of staff at the presidency, Lieutenant General Peter Augustine Blay; Minister of defence as well other service commanders.

The president is expected back on January 2, 2012.
