CAN 2012: Stadium for Black Stars games completed

The construction of the Franceville Stadium in Gabon for the CAN 2012 has been completed, officials of the organising committee have said.

The stadium is where the Ghana Black Stars will play all their group matches with Botswana (January 24), Mali (January 28) and Guinea (February 1).

Louis Claude Moundzieoud Koumba, chief spokesman for the organising committee COCAN Gabon, said on Friday the 25,000-seat ground in Franceville is now finished, according to the Ghana FA’s website December 25, 2011.

Gabon is co-hosting the tournament with Equatorial Guinea. CAN 2012 starts January 21 and will run till February 12.
