MUSIGA, Ecobank sign MoU to digitize sale of Ghana music

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) and Ecobank have signed a memorandum of understanding withvwhich will see the digitization of the sale of Ghanaian music.

The agreement, which was signed last week, will help create an online platform where music can be purchased.

“Just last week, MUSIGA signed an MoU with Ecobank to digitize the sale of our music,” said Mr Rex Omar, chairman of MUSIGA’s business and finance committee on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review which was monitored by ghanabusinessnews.com December 24, 2011.

Mr Omar said Ecobank will help MUSIGA to create a website where the songs can be bought by using credit cards.

This purchasing platform is said to be similar to iTunes and Amazon.
