Armed robbers strike at Nsawam

The Nsawam Police are hunting for six armed robbers who attacked about 40 Christmas shoppers in a bus from Dokorochiwa-Coaltar to Nsawam in the early hours of Monday.

One of the passengers, Akora Asante, said when they reached Akwamu near the Adoagyiri overhead bridge, six armed robbers wielding AK 47 rifles, stopped them.

Akora Asante said the armed robbers gave some warning shots, ordered the passengers out and took their monies and mobile phones.

Nsawam Police Station Commander, Samuel Buabeng, confirmed the story and said the robbers ran away before the police got there
