Vote against your party if it fails to develop Ghana – Kufuor

Ex-President John A. Kufuor is urging all Ghanaians to vote against their own political parties if they cannot develop the country.

According to the former president of Ghana, political parties must move the country forward sociology-economically as well as lawfully.

But if they fail, Kufour says voters should vote against them even if they belong to the political party in power.

“Parties that will come and move the country forward; socially, economically and lawfully and in all respects help give us round development. So, if you are not sure your party can do it, vote against your party,” Mr Kufuor told the Voice of America (VOA) in an interview December 19, 2011.

Mr Kufuor also wants the outcome of the 2012 election to genuinely reflect the decision of Ghanaians.
