6th German-African Energy Forum slated for April 2012

The 6th German-African Energy Forum will take place from April 22 to 25, 2012 in Hamburg and Hanover, officials say.

The forum is the central platform for German-African energy issues, ranging from oil and gas to power, renewable energies and energy efficiency are discussed extensively.

In a press release copied to ghanabusinessnews.com, organisers of the event – German-African Business Association (Afrika-Verein), said the main topics of the forum will be the potentials of the African energy market and the German-African energy cooperation.

“In 2012, we expect more than 500 African and German public and private participants, from politics, industries, consulting, finance and various institutions,” said the release.

Some of the topics to be discussed at the forum are Oil & Gas, Renewable energies, Finance and Insurance of African energy projects among others.

On the last day of the forum, organisers say “we offer a full day visit to the Hannover Messe, the world’s largest energy and industrial equipment exhibition. This visit will take place on April 25th and includes a panel discussion on “Energy Market Africa” for delegates and exhibitors.”

The forum is under the patronage of the Federal German Ministry of Economics and Technology.
