Fair Wages and Salaries Commission migrates 97.7% of employees

The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) has so far migrated 97.70 per cent of employees onto the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS), according to reliable sources.

The sources said in Accra on Wednesday that 459,468 workers had been migrated in 56 organisations as at November 30, 2011.

Those yet to be migrated are the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), Polytechnic Teachers Association of Ghana (POTAG), doctors working at the Ghana Health Service and senior members of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission.

Meanwhile, in order to streamline the certification process, the payroll Unit of the Audit Service has commenced a post-migration review of the system.

The migration was carried out without prior certification of the Auditor-General in order to avoid delays in the migration of the institutions onto the Single Spine Salary Structure.

UTAG was to be migrated this month. May I know when the other senior members of the universities, comprising the non-teaching staff ,would be migrated to the SSS.
