The first in the series will be held in Tamale on November 28 with the second event taking place at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi later in the week.
The NCA 2011 Forum is on the theme: “Creating Frontiers for Consumer Awareness” and will bring under one roof all stakeholders in the telecommunications industry including operators – Glo, MTN, Tigo , Expresso , Airtel, Vodafone as well as the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, Environmental Protection Agency and District Assemblies under whose jurisdiction towers are constructed for telecommunication services.
According to the Consumer and Corporate Affairs Division of the regulator, NCA would use the opportunity to open new zonal offices in the two regions in line with its decentralization drive as it took steps to get closer to consumers of telecommunication products.
The forums would also throw light on frequency allocation and spectrum management, digital terrestrial broadcasting, the status of the SIM card registration exercise and Mobile Number Portability, the statement said.
