Ghana Stock Exchange Index sheds more points
The GSE-Composite Index (GSE-CI), the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange dipped marginally 0.36 points to close at 989.25 points from 989.61 points.
The year-to-date now stands at negative 1.07 per cent.
The GSE-Financial Stocks Index (GSE-FSI), which tracks the performance of listed financial stocks, also went down 0.3 points to 894.19 points from 894.49 points with a year-to-date change of negative 10.58 percent.
There were four price changes, equally shared among the gainers and the laggards.
Ecobank Ghana gained GH¢0.03 to GH¢3.43 and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited was up GH¢0.01 to GH¢1.52.
Losers were Ghana Commercial Bank, which fell GH¢0.03 to GH¢1.95 and Fan Milk Limited dipped GH¢0.02 to GH¢2.43.
Market Capitalization closed the session at GH¢47,198.33 million.
A total of 262,282 shares changed hands, valued at GH¢625,233.53
