MTN announces new appointments

Two executives of MTN Ghana, Mr Clement Asante and Shaibu Haruna, have joined MTN Liberia and MTN Uganda respectively.

A statement issued in Accra on Friday by MTN said the Corporate Services Executive of MTN Ghana, Ms Cynthia Lumor, announced this at the annual MTN editors’ forum held in Cape Coast.

The statement said Mr Asante, who was the former General Manager, Consumer Marketing for MTN Ghana, had joined MTN Liberia as the Chief Marketing Officer.

It said Mr Haruna, former General Manager, Sales & Distribution for MTN Ghana, had been appointed Sales & Distribution Executive for MTN Uganda.

“These leadership changes continue to demonstrate MTN’s commitment to use diverse skills, experience and knowledge sharing across its operating companies to bring about innovation in the delivery of telecommunications services in Africa and across the globe,” Ms Lumor said.

She said MTN believed in harnessing the potential of their best personnel by bringing their rich experiences to bear in operations across its 21 operating units.
