According to the Public Relations Officer of Two Garrison Command, Lieutenant Alfred Martey, the Command would donate blood to the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital blood bank to save precious, especially during emergencies.
The theme for the week is, “Ghana Armed Forces – Facilitators for Peace and Order for National Development.”
Lt. Martey said the Two Garrison Command would also organize a mini trade fair to exhibit some of the farm produce of the military, perform live band music shows and climax the event with fun games on Sunday November 20.
He noted that the military is there to protect lives and property and asked the public to erode misconception that the military terrorizes the civilian populace.
The GAF Community Week was introduced last to afford the military the opportunity to interact with the civilian population to foster unity and promote national development.
