Yudai wins Japanese Ambassador Judo Championship

Maeda Yudai stole the show at the Japanese Ambassador’s Judo Championship when he won the Men’s Open event over the weekend.

Yudai won the Men’s Open at the event held from November 11-12, at the D.G. Hathiramani Sports Hall of the Ohene Djan Stadium.

Kojo Baah placed second with Game Bright and Muftau Dodoo finishing third and fourth respectively.

In the 66kg Men category, Ali Alhassan came first with Asamani Maxwell, Eleazer Dodoo and Augustus Agbozo finishing in that order.

The 60 kg Men was won by Razak Abugri followed by Jones Minta at the second position, Abdallah Idriss Sander placed third and Numatekpor Pius followed in that order.

Timi Okenyi emerged winner of the 73 Kg Men’s division. Rashid Bayku came second, Game Edem Richard finished third whilst Emmanuel Adiwokor placed fourth.

In the Women’s Junior open, Rosemond Quansah won the event with Rachel Kotey and Deborah Arthur in second and third place respectively whilst Favour Fiatuxo emerged winner in the Women Senior open. Second place went to Mariam Mohammed, Anastasia Dordonu finished third and Elizabeth Kumah came in fourth place.

The Under-15 event was won by Uz Alozo with Daniel Quansah and Stephen Tetteh in second and third places.

Basiru Abdul Karim won the Cadet Open with Emmanuel Kermavor finishing second and Bernard Esso in third place. Asha Dodoo finished at the fourth place.
