BUSAC Fund begins training programmes for private sector bodies

BUSAC Fund through its accredited consultants has began a series of training programmes on financial management and record keeping for members of private sector organizations (PSOs) in the Upper West Region.

Speaking to newsmen after one of such training sessions in Wa, Nana Ansu Adane Kofrobour, Lead Consultant for the training, said the exercise followed a capacity assessment of all PSO undertaken by BUSAC to determine their training needs.

Using the “Capacity Assessment Diagnostic Tool”, it was found out that a number of organizations that BUSAC dealt with had inadequate knowledge and skills in financial management and record keeping for the members of the associations.

Nana Adane said nine members from four associations which were all engaged in advocacy in the region benefited from the first training programme, which lasted for four days.
