ECOWAS offers 50% airline ticket discount to Regional Trade Fair participants

Exhibitors and participants attending the 6th ECOWAS Trade Fair which begins November 25, 2011 in Lome, Togo, will enjoy a 50% discount on economy and business class return tickets purchased from agents of ASKY Airlines, a statement from the regional body has said.

This takes effect from November 18 to December 18, 2011, ECOWAS said on its website October 27, 2011.

According to ECOWAS, in a letter to CETEF-Lome, organizers of the regional fair, the Chief Executive Officer of ASKY Airlines, a Lome-based airline, Mr. Busera Awel, said the travellers will enjoy the special discount offer on presentation of relevant documents.

The special offer also includes a 40-per cent reduction on freight (excluding excess baggage), the statement added.

The regional fair is considered an important platform for promoting intra-Community trade, cooperation and integration for the benefit of the Community’s 300 million citizens.
