Ho Municipal Assembly collects 51.7% of estimated revenue

Ho Municipal Assembly has collected GH¢2.259, 966.48, representing 51.74 per cent of its estimated revenue of GH¢4,368,052.51 for 2011.

Mr Isaac Kodobissah, Municipal Chief Executive said the feat is on “on course” when he addressed an ordinary meeting of the Assembly in Ho on Wednesday.

He said steps are being taken to ensure that enough revenue is mobilised for the Assembly by the end of the year.

Mr Kodobissah said the Assembly had constituted a taskforce and organised refresher trainings for its revenue collectors to rake in enough money for the development agenda.

He said the Municipal Assembly’s share of the District Assemblies’ Common Fund is not regular.

Mr Kodobissah challenged the finance and administration sub-committee of the body to identify untapped revenue sources to improve the situation.

He catalogued the completed development projects and those at various stages of completion in the Municipality.
