Dr. Toni Aubynn is new CEO for Ghana Chamber of Mines

Dr. Toni Aubynn has been appointed the Chief Executive of the Ghana Chamber of Mines following the retirement of Ms. Joyce Aryee, who served in the position for 10 years.

The Chamber in a press release issued today October 6, 2011 and copied to ghanabusinessnews.com, said Dr. Aubynn’s appointment took effect October 1, 2011.

Until his appointment Dr Aubynn was the Director of Corporate Affairs for oil producer Tullow Ghana Limited. He held that position for 16 months, the release said, adding that, “he brings very useful expertise and leadership to the mining industry with demonstrated ability to maintain constructive and strategic engagement with the various stakeholders in the industry.”

The release says he joins the Chamber with over 20 years working experience, over 14 of which have been in senior management positions in the extractive industries.
