NCCE asks eligible voters to register for new voter ID cards

The Ketu North District Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has advised prospective voters in the 2012 General Election to patronise the coming voter registration exercise to be able to exercise their franchise.

Mr Godwin Agbenyo reminded the citizenry that registering as a voter and voting on election days are their civic rights and responsibilities.

Mr Agbenyo was speaking at the presentation of sewing machines and accessories to 39 youth who completed six months training in dressmaking under the National Youth Employment Programme.

He said all existing voter identity cards would be nullified once the Electoral Commission issued new cards to eligible voters.

Mr Agbenyo urged women to brace up for opportunities to improve on their stakes in decision making.
