Gyan agrees to make sizeable donation to Sunderland Foundation despite leaving club on loan
Asamoah Gyan has agreed to donate a sizeable amount of his money monthly to the Sunderland Foundation during his time at United Arab Emirates club Al-Ain.
This was revealed by Niall Quinn, Chairman of Sunderland FC in an exclusive interview with the club’s website September 12, 2011.
“I am delighted however that he (Gyan) has agreed to make a sizeable donation to SAFC Foundation for each month that he is away on loan,” Mr Quinn said.
Sunderland offered Asamoah Gyan on loan for a year to Al-Ain for a fee of £6 million last Saturday. The player will earn $200,000 a week.
