Partners of Hunger Project end business management workshop

A two-day Business Management Training for 85 partners of The Hunger Project (THP), a non-governmental organization (NGO), had ended at Baware in the Akuapem North District on Wednesday.

It was aimed at introducing the participants to skills and knowledge required for effective small business management.

Mr George D. Ofori, facilitator and Project Officer of The Hunger Project, charged the participants to run their businesses with the knowledge and skills they had acquired at the workshop.

He indicated the need for them to see their clients as people who “put food on their tables, hence the need to treat them as kings and queens”.

Mr Ofori said the THP would give out micro-finance to the participants to expand their businesses.

Ms Margaret Asare, one of the participants, told the GNA that the workshop would be beneficial to her business.

She indicated how happy she was and the extent to which the programme would affect her business.

“The training would equip me to run my business professionally to be able to take my children through school”.

Mrs Georgina Dushie, on the other hand said, “I am happy to attend the workshop, which would put impetus in my business.”

“I hope to keep proper records of my business and I am hopeful my business will grow”.

Meanwhile, the THP had donated 10 bicycles to its Animators at the Yilo, Akuapem North and South Districts.
