A statement from TV3 said with over 14 years experience in the television industry in Malaysia and Ghana, Mr Singh had overseen a significant increase in TV3’s market share since he joined the organization in March 2010 as its Chief Operating Officer.
“He is set to provide the leadership and vision needed for the nation’s best-loved station in this period of significant change and growth,” the statement signed by Ms. Carla Olympio, General Manager, Corporate Communications, said.
TV3 said Mr Singh was joined by two new members of the executive team – Mrs. Efua Filson Fynn, General Manager of Finance and Ms. Ntiriwa Addo France, General Manager of the Client Service Group.
Mrs Fynn is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of post-qualification experience with Nestle Ghana Ltd as Financial Accounting Manager and Airtel Ghana Ltd as Financial Reporting Manager.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Cape Coast and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Wales in the United Kingdom.
Ms Ntiriwa is a Client Service expert, who has joined TV 3 from the Multiple Concepts Group, and before that Lowe Lintas.
She has over 11 years experience in marketing and has supervised client service and media teams working on major brands across the commercial and non-commercial sectors.
She holds a Bachelor of Journalism Degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Missouri, School of Journalism, Missouri, USA and a post-graduate diploma in Business Administration and Office Management.
As of August 2011, Media General Ghana Limited (MGG), a wholly Ghanaian owned entity, registered in Ghana, had taken over the majority shareholding of TV3.
MGG has taken over from the Malaysian media conglomerate Media Prima Berhad, who stated that the sale of TV3 was a strategic decision to allow them to focus on their domestic operations.
The statement said the change in ownership structure would not alter the company’s favourable prospects and its status as the country’s number one media organization.
“MGG has underlined its commitment to investing in and improving upon TV3’s already firm reputation,” the statement said.
