350 ICT students graduate

Three hundred and fifty students have graduated from a four-month intensive course in Information Communication Technology (ICT), under the Soul Food Ministries International’s (SFMI) Information Technology Training initiative.

This brings to 800 the total number of people who have benefited from the initiative since it began in 2009, with courses in Computer Hardware, Computer Networking, Cisco Certified Network Administration and Windows 2003 Server.

SFMI is a charismatic church which envisions winning souls by preaching the word of God and developing human resource through the establishment of subsidiary institutions to provide free training in various aspects of life to its members and the general public.

Presenting the certificates to the graduates, Pastor Eddie Letsa, General Overseer of SFMI, said the initiative formed part of the SFMI’s vision to empower people especially the youth with employable skills to lead worthy lives.

Pastor Letsa said SFMI is about to introduce free training in artisanship for the youth who may not be interested in ICT.

He said it was the belief of SFMI that when the youth were engaged productively, negative social vices would be curbed.

He appealed to stakeholders in ICT development and philanthropists to support this project to help make leaders and responsible citizens of our youth.
