Smirnoff, a brand of vodka owned and produced by British company Diageo and US singer Madonna has launched the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project which will discover the best dancer in 50 countries  around the globe including Ghana.

The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project is an ambitious attempt to discover the world’s most unique and interesting nightlife, culminating in one-of-a-kind experiences on the same night all over the world.

When ghanabusinessnews.com asked Smirnoff whether Ghana is part of the Smirnoff Nightlife project and that if so, when is the team coming to Accra on its Facebook page August 25, the company responded by saying “Ghana is participating, stay tuned for updates!”

According to Smirnoff, the project which is a competition will enable Madonna “to find the best dancer to join her next tour”.

Fans can enter an exclusive dance competition online by submitting a 60-second dance video and upload it to Smirnoff’s website . The submission process for the dance competition runs until October 10, 2011.

“Auditions must be performed to Madonna’s “Celebration” track that you can download from www.Smirnoff.com when submitting your entry into the contest,” the company stated on its official Facebook page where daily updates will be given about the project.

The winner will be announced on November 12 at the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project Experience, it adds.

“What attracted me to the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project is the combination of participating in the celebration of nightlife around the world and the opportunity to discover the world’s best unknown dancers…The best dancers are always in the clubs looking for the most original experience, just like Smirnoff is doing,” said Madonna on her official website August 17, 2011.
