Kotoko to find replacement for players leaving

The Management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC has assured its teeming supporters that it will work vigorously to recruit quality players to beef up the team’s strength.

This comes in the wake of speculations that the club is set to sell most of its regular players to some foreign clubs, following their impressive performance in the just ended pre-season training tour of Serbia.

Mr Benjamin Nti, the Administrative Manager, said the Serbian trip was successful – a healthy exercise that had put the team in good shape.

He told the GNA Sports in Kumasi that though some foreign clubs had targeted majority of their regular players, management would be prudent in assessing the contracts as they come.

Mr Nti was upbeat that all will be well with the club even as they lose some of their key players, explaining that in football it was necessary to always have alternative options to foster good team building.

He commended the players for the good performance and tactical discipline put up in Serbia and also thanked the supporters for their moral and spiritual support.
