The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) has taken delivery of a $35,000 Radio Frequency Generator (RFG) to aid the treatment of tumors and snoring.
RFG generates heat and burns cancerous cells.
It was a donation from the Shanghai Hengxin Medical Devices Company Limited of China, manufacturers of medical equipment.
Mr Yu Shao Heng, a representative of the company, said this was their contribution towards upgrading the facilities at the hospital.
He said they were determined to explore areas they could be of support to the facility.
