Oil and gas training institution helps students fund studies

Oil gas training institution, Amitlaw Professional Development Centre (APDC) says it would facilitate the acquisition of loans for students to pay their fees.

According to Mr. Gibson Keteku, the Courses Coordinator of the Centre, APDC would facilitate the acquisition of the loans which are provided by some selected banks.

“The loan will be a commercial loan attracting agreed interest rates,” he told ghanabusinessnews.com. He however added that students who meet the banks’ requirement for the loans “will be able to access up to 100% of the fees.”

APDC is a sister company of Amitlaw Consulting – experts in maritime law, petroleum commodities and international trade and Amitlaw Shipbrokerage Company.

The training institution which is aiming to train Ghanaians to take-up positions in the country’s emerging oil sector offers the programmes of the Lloyd’s Maritime Academy (LMA) and IBC Global Academy which have over 30 years experience in training people for the global oil industry.

Graduates will be awarded the internationally recognized Professional Diploma in any of the following courses; Oil and Gas Management, Offshore oil and Gas Production, Terminal Management, Ship Management, Logistics Management and Ship Finance.

The Centre is currently accepting admissions for the programme set to begin in September 2011.
