Local Government Workers’ Union members asked to “exercise maximum restraint” on Single Spine Salary

Local Government Workers’ Union of the Ghana Trades Union Congress on Monday urged its members to “exercise maximum restraint” while efforts are being made to ensure their proper grading and placement on the Single Spine salary Structure SSSS.

A statement signed by Mr Joe Boahen, General Secretary, said the call to members was made at a management Committee meeting of the Union held at the TUC hall on August 5.

It said the Union was negotiating with management of the Local Government Service and the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission on the migration of members onto the SSSS.
