Arik Air, Amadeus sign content distribution agreement

Commercial airline, Arik Air and Amadeus, a travel technology partner, have signed a five-year full content distribution agreement today August 8, 2011.

The agreement guarantees Amadeus’ travel agents, present in 195 countries including Ghana, to access the entire range of Arik Air’s fares, schedules and inventory, a statement from the airline copied to ghanabusinessnews.com says.

“According to the agreement, the fares, schedules and inventory made available through the Amadeus system will be the same, and under the same conditions, as through any indirect or direct channel, distribution provider or website,” Arik says.

“With this new agreement, Arik Air will have competitive and cost effective distribution by using Amadeus as a partner both in Nigeria and in our international markets,” said Kevin Steele, Senior Vice President Commercial Arik Air.
