Assembly undertake 91 development projects worth GH¢2m in two years
The Kwahu-East District Assembly, has implemented 91 development projects worth GH¢2 million in all its eight town and area councils within the past two and half years as part of the government’s Better Ghana Agenda policy.
The projects include; 34-water and sanitation related projects, 27 educational, 17 economic, 10 administrative and three health-related ones, all were financed by the Assembly.
The District Chief Executive, Mr Samuel Asamoah disclosed this when he inaugurated two sanitation projects at Kotoso and Ankoma.
He said 60 per cent of the projects have been completed while the rest which were at advanced stages would be completed by the end of the year.
The projects, which were inaugurated, include an eight-seater water closet place of convenience at Kotoso and 8-seater KVIP place of convenience at Ankoma.
Mr Asamoah advised the people to bury their political and ethnic differences and support the assembly to execute more development projects for the communities and said much could not be achieved without the support and cooperation of the people.
The Chief of Ankoma, Nana Dwamena Kodua II, appeal for the rehabilitation of the District Assembly Primary School block, provision of computer for the Junior High School, rehabilitation of Kwahu Tafo-Ankoma road and some bags of cement to rehabilitate the community durbar grounds.
