Entrepreneurship institution, Babson College launches programme for Ghana, Rwanda

Babson College, one of the world’s leading entrepreneurship academy, is conducting a unique residential learning experience known as the Entrepreneurial Leadership Academy, for high school students in Ghana and Rwanda this summer.

Babson says the academy will bring 100 selected students in each country together for a one-week intensive experience.

“Students are participating in topic sessions on Entrepreneurship and Leadership Skills.  The programme leads students to develop and deliver a business idea during a final Rocket Pitch Competition,” it said in a statement on July 25, 2011.

The academy will be offered “in Sekondi, Ghana and in Byimana, Rwanda — in order to reach populations that seldom have such opportunities.”

Topics will include entrepreneurship, recognizing opportunity, creating value for customers, modeling leadership, and plan execution and strategy.

This is the first time that Babson is offering these academies in Ghana and Rwanda.

Babson has been ranked by the Financial Times of London as one of the world’s leading executive education providers.
