Duke Williams Foundation Executives installed development chiefs of Nkatsim

Two Executive Directors of the Duke Williams Foundation for hope and charity, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), have been installed as development chiefs of the Nkatsim community in the Ajumako Enyan-Essiam district of the Central Region.

They are the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Foundation, Mr Duke Williams under the stool name, Nana Guatuahene Kwame Kumi and the United States Country Director of the Foundation, Madam Maggie Smallwood with the stool name Nkosuohenema Mbiriwa.

The gesture formed part of measures to afford them the opportunity to speed up the development of the town.

Speaking at the ceremony, the executives said they had identified a myriad of problems in the community notably in the areas of education and health and were therefore poised to bring development to the community.

The Foundation used the occasion to appeal to government to speed up the connection of the town to the national electricity grid.

The Presiding Member of the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District Assembly, Mr Solomon Fiti who represented the DCE and the MP for the area, commended the Foundation for its humanitarian gesture.

He said the Mills-led administration was committed to developing every part of the nation which was clearly manifested in the numerous developmental projects it had embarked upon since it assumed the reins of government.

Mr Fiti said the District Assembly would help the Foundation to speed up the development of the town.

The Queenmother of Mankessim, Nana Ama Emissah urged parents to invest in the education of their children and help them to acquire vocations to better their lot.

She advised parents to bring up their children in a God-fearing way so as to avoid anti-social vices such as lesbianism and homosexuality.
