NDC Women’s Organizer unhappy over crisis in Presidential primaries

Mrs Sarah Efuah Armah, Nsaba Ward Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed worry over the internal wrangles which had bedeviled presidential primaries campaign.

She said it is not politically healthy for supporters of Professor J.E.A Mills and Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings to be insulting themselves.

Mrs Armah expressed the sentiments when the District Chief Executive for Agona East, Mr Martin Luther Obeng and his entourage visited Agona Nkran as part of his one month familiarization tour in the District.

Mr Obeng is being accompanied by Mr Samuel Richard Zigah, Presiding Member of the Agona East Assembly, Mr Jonathan Kobina Abban, Agona East Constituency Chairman of NDC, Ms Sabina Aidoo, Deputy Constituency Women Organizer and some assembly members.

Earlier, Mr Obeng and his entourage paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Nsaba Traditional Area, Nana Okatakyi Aseidu Boabea II, and the Divisional Chiefs at his Palace at Nsaba.

Mrs Armah said the situation if not checked could seriously affect the future of the party in the next elections.

She therefore exhorted the former First Lady to rescind her decision to contest the Presidential Primaries and allow President Mills to complete the eight years terms if given to him by Ghanaians.

Mr Obeng hoped that after the primaries supporters of both sides would come together and work hard for the party to win the 2012 general elections.
