Web conference, ‘Webvolution’ to introduce businesses to online marketing, wealth creation

Ghanaian businesses will get to know new technological approaches on how to make use of the World Wide Web (WWW) to enhance their delivery at an upcoming Internet event.

The event dubbed Web@2011, soon to hit parts of the country, will give the platform to businesses, individuals and groups to learning about how the World Wide Web (WWW) can serve as a means of connecting with the world, sharing information, doing business, engaging customers and meeting new people.

With the use of social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, experts expect that companies should take advantage of such media as a consumer-engagement tool.

Organizers of Web@2011, PopOut and inCharge, say the theme for the event which is “Webvolution”, will further touch on how to design a website, optimize it for search engine, how to create rich and captivating web content, and ways to drive traffic to a website.

In an interview with the event manager, Mr. Maximus Ametorgoh, he told ghanabusinessnews.com that the emergence of technology which is now a new economy serves as a tool for communication which is less expensive in terms of the transaction of businesses.

“Web technology now has taken businesses from the local environment to the global world”, Mr Amertorgoh said.

Mr Amertorgoh believes that it is time for businesses to integrate unto the web platform to enable their customers to purchase goods and services that they provide online.

He was also optimistic that corporate entities will embrace the event which will kick start in Accra, then to Tamale, Kumasi and Takoradi.
