Mothers urged to ensure peaceful elections in 2012

Rev James Noble Tulasi, Head Pastor of Jubilee Christian Centre, Ho, has urged mothers in the country to preach peace as the 2012 general elections approaches.

He said this has become necessary in view of how tension was building up ahead of the elections.

Rev Tulasi who was delivering a sermon on “Good Mothers” noted that mothers by their nature were peaceful and compassionate and urged them to let that “spirit influence the 2012 elections.”

He asked mothers to talk peace and love to their husbands and children so that peace could prevail during the elections.

“The responsibility of all good mothers in the upcoming elections is to preach peace, love, unity and togetherness,” Rev Tulasi said.

He asked mothers to let their husbands and children know that the 2012 elections were not a “do or die” affair and that life must continue after the elections.

Mama Attratoh II, Queen of Ho-Dome also advised mothers to pray to God to change the minds of men who would want to be violent during the elections.

She urged mothers not to stay aloof when it became serious but be focused to calm situations when necessary, adding that, women and children would suffer most if any thing occurs.”
