As part of its social responsibility and particularly to develop football and life skills programmes for children, the Coca-Cola Africa Foundation has donated an amount of $10,000 to Play Soccer Ghana.

Play Soccer Ghana uses football to effectively promote healthy, active lifestyle and the social development of the youth.  The programme acts as a catalyst for community development by equipping the youth with the life skills needed for their development into healthy, active, capable and responsible future adults.  It targets the younger generation between the ages of 4 and 15.  Apart from Ghana, the programme operates in Senegal, Cameroon, Malawi, Zambia and South Africa.

Making the donation on behalf of The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation (TCCAF), Mr. Philippe Ayivor, the Public Affairs and Communications Director for Equatorial Africa and TCCAF, said that as a responsible and caring corporate citizen, the Coca-Cola system has over the years contributed to building a healthy and active population as well as the development of future skills for the country through its community assisted programmes in the areas of health, education, the provision of safe drinking water and sanitation facilities and enterprise development.
