The African University College of Communications (AUCC) is set in finding the first African Queen of the university at its first ever beauty pageant scheduled for May 7, 2011.

The pageant, Face of AUCC, will see ten elegant and eloquent ladies of the university competing for the ultimate prize at the grand finale after auditions have already been held.

According to the SRC President, Mr. Tamimu Issah, the pageant seeks to portray the African culture unlike others that are western-based.

“AUCC is a home of tradition and this concept will seek to portray the African culture unlike other beauty contests that are western-based,” said the SRC President in a statement copied to ghanabusinessnews.com via facebook.

Venue for the pageant will soon be announced, organizers say.
