Nana Konadu resigns to contest NDC’s Presidential slot

Mrs Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, First Vice Chairman of the Ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has resigned her position to contest the party’s forthcoming Presidential primaries.

“I have from this day 13th of April, 2011 resigned as Vice Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress. This will enable me respond to numerous calls on me to contest the Flagbearership of the NDC when nominations are opened”, the former First lady wrote in a resignation letter addressed to the Party’s General Secretary.

    this action of the Rawlingses will deepen cracks within the NDC. Ghana is not ready for a female prez, they also past unpleasant issues hanging on their necks which the NPP will use against them. can mr Rawlings criticize his wife and call her thief (Mrs Ataa Ayi) like he called Mr. Kuffuor. prez Rawlings used state resources to train her daughter Ezenator to fly, and friends paid his childrens’ fees abroad. isnt these corruption? this hypocrisy to the highest order.
    the bible says ” do not do things out of selfish ambition…”
    I love Rawlings but this action doesnt speak well of a statesman! mr. Rawlings please help fight cholera, maleria etc…
