Mr Kofi Frimpong, Member of Parliament for Kwabre East, has presented assorted gifts in support of 50 needy young school girls in the constituency.

The beneficiaries from basic schools in the area received clothing, plastic bowls, cups, buckets and soap.

Mr Frimpong pledged to do everything to promote girl-child education in the constituency.

He appealed to parents to put premium on the education of their children, saying, it was the best form of investment they could make for their young ones.

They should make sure that those of school going-age did not only enroll in school but are retained.

Receiving the items on behalf of the children the Rev J. H. Ofosuhene, the District Education Director, thanked Mr Frimpong for the donation.

He appealed to the well-to-do in the district, religious groups and the district assembly to do more to assist the development of education.
