Use Internet to boost academic knowledge – DCE

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Afigya-Kwabre, Mr Kwaku Oppong-Kyekyeku Kaakyire, has urged students to take advantage of the internet to boost academic performance.

He, however, cautioned against its use for crime, pornography and other negative activities.

Mr Oppong-Kyekyeku was speaking at the launch of a special education programme by the district assembly at the Aduman Senior High School (SHS).

It involves distribution of computers and books to schools in the area to assist improve the performance of pupils and students.

He appealed to parents and other stakeholders to support the assembly in its efforts to raise the level of education.

Mr Ignatius Mwinbe-Ere Der, the District Education Director, was full of praise for the assembly for the programme.

Mr Joseph Prince Aguri Amanfo, the Headmaster of Aduman SHS, thanked the DCE for the supply of the education materials.

He appealed for the early completion of on-going projects in the school as well as the construction of new ones including staff accommodation, transport and washrooms.
