Ghana Education Service cries for help

Flood waters that swept through Agona Swedru last year has created problems for the Agona West Municipal Assembly as well as the Ghana Education Service which is also in the building.

The Deputy Director in Charge of Administration, Mr Nelson Otu-Asamoah, told the GNA the that the flood waters  destroyed fax machines, fridges, reprography, photocopier machines, accounts books and other valuable items in the offices.

He said apart from the destruction of the office equipments, the building had developed several cracks and staffs now work in few rooms.

Mr Out-Asamoah said the engineer of the Agona West Municipal Assembly had made an assessment of the cost of the rehabilitation but work is yet to start.
