Assembly to aid more people with funds

About 203 people are to benefit from the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly’s (STMA) Social Inclusion Transfer project (STI).

Mr. Kobina Annan Prah, Metropolitan Chief Executive, said at a press conference that the STI project was an initiative to support the extremely poor and vulnerable in the society with funds.

He said 162 pupils, 14 lactating mothers and pregnant women and 27 persons living with HIV/AIDS have been selected to enjoy under the STI facility.

On the Livelihood Empowerment against Poverty Programmed also, Mr. Prah said 800 families at Adakope in Takoradi had been selected to benefit.

Mr. Prah said these interventions formed part of the assembly’s  programme to give hope to its citizenry.
