Spanish Embassy in Ghana to hold first Plastic Arts Workshop

The Spanish Embassy in Ghana is bringing down the young and renown Spanish painter Rómulo Celdrán for a weeklong Plastic Arts Workshop in Accra.

The Embassy says the workshop is to offer plastic artists access to an intense and practical training in the area.

According to the Embassy, Rómulo Celdrán will review the performance of participants and the best one will be rewarded with a flight to Madrid for 5 days, all expenses paid by the Embassy of Spain. The lucky candidate will also visit one of the most renowned modern and contemporary art fairs, ARCO MADRID in February 2011, it adds.

The event to be held from January 24 to 29, 2011 in Accra is a collaboration between the Spanish Embassy, The Dei Centre for the Study of Contemporary African Art and supported by the Foundation of Contemporary Art. Interested artists can attend for free.
