Wreath laying ceremony to mark 31st December Revolution

A wreath laying ceremony was held at the Revolution Square, opposite the Flagstaff House, to mark the 29th anniversary of the 31st December Revolution.

The ceremony was attended by former President Jerry John Rawlings, his wife, Nana Konadu, government officials, retired military officers, serving officers, cadres, members of the 31st December Women’s movement and members of the public.

Wreaths were laid for the fallen heroes on behalf of the people of Ghana, the security services and the cadre corps.

Prayers were also said for the fallen heroes followed by a minute’s silence.

The cadre corps mounted a parade led by Amos Aryitey.
