Ms Akua Sena Dansua, Minister of Youth and Sports has admitted that some of the national teams are owed outstanding bonuses.
The revelation comes in the wake of the payment of outstanding bonuses owed the Black Stars after their exploits at the FIFA World Cup in South Africa and the qualifiers of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ms Dansua who said this at an interaction with the media on Tuesday said that her outfit is working in collaboration with Government to offset the bills of the other national teams.
Remaining silent on the identities of national teams, she however said “Government has taken steps to clear the outstanding bonuses of the other national teams. Once the monies are approved, the teams will receive it.”
On the Black Stars, the Minister said the players were presented with their cheques in Dubai, during the international friendly against Saudi Arabia last month.
Meanwhile GNA Sports’ sources indicate that the Black Queens, Black Princesses, Black Starlets and Black Satellites have outstanding bonuses for their involvements during the year.
