Theresa Tagoe passes on

Madam Theresa Ameley Tagoe is dead. A family source has confirmed to the media in Accra that she died Thursday afternoon November 25, 2010.

The 67-year-old Madam Tagoe was a former Member of Parliament for the South Ablekuma Constituency in the Greater Accra Region from 1997 to 2008.

She served as Deputy Minister of Lands, Forestry and Mines. She also served as Deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister.

Mad. Tagoe at one time also served as the Deputy Minister for Works and Housing.

Madam Tagoe was also the proprietress of Agence D’or Secretarial Institute, one of the leading and prestigoius secretarial schools in Ghana.

During her vetting in parliament at one point she emphasized the fact that she loves to talk. She told the appointment committee vetting her, “Yes I like talking. Sometimes I get out and sit on my steps and just talk to people passing.

Through talking I become dynamic.”

She was born on December 13, 1943. Her hobbies include reading, dancing and talking.
