Johnson Kombiam captured finally

The man wanted for crimes including alleged murders of police officers Johnson Kombiam has finally been arrested.

Kombian who sneaked into neighbouring Togo when he was being sought by the Ghana Police was arrested by Togolese security and handed over to the Ghana Police.

He is said to have escaped prison custody twice and subsequently allegedly shot three policemen, two of whom have died and the third is still in hospital receiving treatment for gunshot wounds.
Before his arrested a GH¢3000 reward was put on his head.

After news of his arrest broke last Saturday, head of the Ghana Police Public Relations Unit, DSP Kwesi Ofori told ghanabusinessnews.com on the phone that the Ghana Police authorities would have to send men to Togo to verify if indeed the person in custody was Kombian.

He has now been transferred to Accra and is being held at the Police Hospital in Accra where he is receiving treatment for injuries he got reportedly as a result of confrontations with Togolese security officers during his arrest.
