Aureos of UK invests $10m in HFC Bank Ghana

HFC Bank has received an investment to boost its portfolio and operations.

UK based emerging markets investor Aureos has reportedly invested $10 million in the HFC Bank of Ghana. The investment by Aureos which targets small and medium sized businesses in Africa will allow the bank to maintain strong capital reserves while expanding its branch network and lending operations.

“In recent years we have enjoyed rapid growth and are now arguably the most diverse financial institution in Ghana,” the managing director of HFC, Asare Akuffo was quoted as saying.
