Ghana stocks make gains

The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, closed Thursday’s session up 11.3 points to close at 6,818.69 points.

The rise brings the gains so far this year to 22.37 percent.

Gainers for the session were Total Petroleum Ghana (TOTAL) which was up GH¢0.03 to close at GH¢9.39; State Insurance Company (SIC) went up by GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.39, Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) appreciated GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.26 and Ecobank Ghana Limited (EBG) was up GH¢0.02 at GH¢3.04.

Benso Oil Palm Plantation lost GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.74.

A total of 379,968 shares was traded, valued at GH¢179,371.50.

Market Capitalisation closed the session at GH¢19,907.77 million.
